These Entry Level 3 and Level 1 qualifications are based on the new Qualification & Credit Framework (QCF). These are also suitable as the vocational subject-based learning component of Foundation Learning.
With no formal entry requirements, these qualifications are open to anyone aged 14 and over, who is interested in gaining a nationally-recogonised qualification.
IMI Awards qualifications include the vocational subject-based learning component of Foundation Learning. The Personal and Social Development (PSD) units, separate to the qualifications also meet the Foundation Learning programmes' current requirement for credits of personal and social development learning, which support learners in their preparation for work life.
The qualifications are primarily designed to engage and motivate 14-19 year olds who are interested in learning about the maintenance of motor vehicles and the various roles that are available in the retail motor industry. The qualifications' combination of mandatory and optional units provides learners with the flexibility of achieving and progressing in small manageable steps.
The qualifications have a practical approach to assessment and include many visual questioning techniques, which will stimulate and interest the learner.
