Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs) 2005 - 2011
These VRQs provide the essential knowledge to do a job and are a requirement for a Modern Apprenticeship in Scotland.
Who are they suitable for?
- Those who choose a vocational route for their development
- Those in full-time or part-time further education
- Those seeking employment, who do not have access to a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ)
- Those undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship with a VRQ requirement
How do you get one?
- Achieved on a full or part time basis in schools and at IMI Awards approved centres
- By training and undertaking practical and on-line assessment
- Typically each level is completed in an academic year
