IMI Awards National Qualifications (VRQs) 2005 - 2011
Launched in 2004, these vocationally related qualifications (VRQs) offer the widest range of technical knowledge to become a technician, or to progress to higher education.
The IMI National contains the Vocationally Related Qualification content, with a wider breadth of knowledge in applied science, mathematics, electronics and Information Technology (IT)
Who are they suitable for?
- Those seeking employment, who do not have access to an SVQ
- Those in full-time or part-time further education
- Those undertaking an Apprenticeship with a Vocationally Related Qualification requirement
- Those planning to progress to Level 4 qualifications, management qualifications or higher education
How do you get one?
- Achieved on a full or part time basis at an IMI Awards approved centre
- By training and undertaking academic, on-line and practical assessment
- Typically each level is completed in an academic year
