Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Automotive Glazing (QCF)

This Level 3 NVQ is aimed at individuals who are experienced automotive glaziers. The qualification should be taken by those technicians who solve and rectify technical problems with glazing components in motor vehicles.

Candidates will demonstrate that they can complete quality checks, plan resources to meet deadlines in the workplace, communicate effectively and have a thorough knowledge of the automotive glazing industry. Candidates for the qualification should also be able to supervise and provide technical advice to inexperienced technicians.

Windscreens and windows are essential in maintaining a vehicle's structural strength and therefore a qualification of this type is vital in ensuring vehicles are repaired to the highest quality standards.

Many technicians undertaking this qualification will be employed as an apprentice on a Level 3 Glass Industries Occupation Advanced Apprenticeship. 

Successful candidates may potentially move into customer services, or progress to management level.
