Level 3 Diploma in Transport Engineering Maintenance for Passenger Carrying Vehicles (Body Cladding)

This is a level 3 qualification that the covers technical needs for today’s passenger carrying vehicle industry.  It provides essential knowledge for body repair technicians in the passenger carrying vehicle sector.

It is a learning programme which involves students studying both the theory and practical aspects of the following:
• Body repair workshop organisation
• Setting out, assembling and repairing of body components and parts
• The assessment of collision damage and repair operations
• Inspection and ancillary equipment maintenance

Candidates also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in garages and maintenance depots.

The candidate’s knowledge is assessed by IMI Awards set practical assessments in a motor vehicle workshop environment, IMI Awards set ‘on-line’ multiple-choice testing and by assessments set by the candidates centre.
