IMIAL Level 1 Award in Vehicle Maintenance

This qualification is designed to engage and motivate 14-19 year olds who are interested in learning about the maintenance of motor vehicles and the various roles that are available in the retail motor industry.

The qualification has a practical approach to assessment and includes many visual questioning techniques, which will stimulate and interest the learner.  The learning outcomes are assessed by a variety of task based assessment, observation, oral questioning and online assessments.  Approved Centres can download the full qualification quidance and assessment criteria documentation at the bottom of this page.

The Award is currently suitable as the vocation subject-based learning component of Foundation Learning.

To gain this Award learners must achieve the following:

Award Total = 12 credits
Learners must achieve 12 credits. This must include 8 credits from mandatory units. The other credits may be selected from any other group

Progression

This Award is ideal for those learners who wish to undertake a qualification which provides a stepping stone to the IMIAL Level 1 Certification in Vehicle Maintenance.
