Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Lift Truck)

This learning programme provides the essential knowledge for technicians working on a range of lift trucks in all types of workshops, customer sites and maintenance depots.

The qualification covers all the technical needs for today's industry:

• All aspects of health & safety
• Knowledge and understanding of lift truck systems: engines (fuel & ignition systems), transmissions, drive axles, brakes, steering, tyres and lift truck electric and electronic systems
• Knowledge and understanding of advanced lift truck systems: engine management systems, power shift transmissions, ABS brakes, power steering, electronic lift truck systems
• Advanced fault finding for all of the above systems

The qualification is assessed using on-line multi-choice testing and a range of off-the-job assessments. 50% is assessed in a practical workshop environment. For further information and advice, please contact an IMI Awards approved centre.
