Level 2 Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Lift Truck)

This learning programme provides the essential knowledge for service technicians working on a range of lift trucks in all types of workshops, customer sites and maintenance depots.

The qualification covers the basic technical needs for today's industry:

• All aspects of health & safety
• Knowledge and understanding of lift truck systems: engines (fuel & ignition systems), transmissions, drive axles, brakes, steering, tyres, lift truck electric and electronic systems
• Fault diagnosis and routine maintenance of all the above systems

The qualification is assessed using on-line multi-choice testing and a range of off-the-job assessments. 50% is assessed in a practical workshop environment.
