Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Fitting Operations

This level 3 qualification provides the essential knowledge for vehicle fitting supervisors working with a wide range of vehicles in all types of garages, dealerships and fast fit and specialist tyre depots. It includes the procedures for quality of outputs and supporting colleagues.

It is a learning programme which involves students studying both the theory and practical aspects of the following:

• Co-ordinating the Receipt and Storage of Parts
• Processing Payment Transactions
• Helping Customers to Choose Products
• Monitoring and Solving Customer Service Problems
• Working with Others to Improve Customer Service
• Planning, Monitoring and Adjusting Staffing Levels and Schedules

Students also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.

The student's knowledge is assessed by IMI Awards set practical assessments in a motor vehicle workshop environment, IMI Awards set 'on-line' multiple-choice testing and by assessments set by the student's centre.
