Apprentices of the year at Renault Trucks are Chris Williams and Jamie Bird, both with Allports Truck Centre at Litchfield, and Daniel Wills or RH Commercial Vehicles at Nottingham.

"These young men, along woth other apprentices, have worked head to improve their skills, both on the job at the dealerships that employ them, and in the classrooms and technical workshops during their block release sessions," said Brian Burns, Training Manager for Renault Trucks UK.

"Being a commercial vehicle technician isn't just about getting dirty anymore. Technology has moved on and a high level of competence in electronics and computer diagnostics is required to work with today's trucks and vans, as well as the core mechanical disciplines."
