Founded in 1987 the National Automotive Technician Competitions (NATC) is the series of nationally recognised skills competitions for young newly trained technicians who have normally just completed a formal apprenticeship within the automotive repair industry. SMMT
The SMMT exists to encourage and promote the interests of the motor industry, the largest manufacturing sector, in the UK and abroad. Membership includes all the vehicle and component manufacturers who build and sell in Britain, with over 800 member companies engaged in a complete cross-section of motor industry activities from research, design, engineering, vehicle and component manufacturing, to retailing.
