Quality Assured Awards

Quality Assured Awards (QAA)* is a well established initiative from IMI Awards designed to formally recognise training programmes throughout the retail motor industry. QAA is suitable for any programmes outside the National Qualifications Framework where there is an assessed outcome.

QAA provides an endorsement of the quality and integrity of your training outcomes which is independently verified by IMI Awards. Successful candidates on QAA programmes are also certificated by IMI Awards, adding value to the programmes delivered by training providers, manufacturers, retail dealer groups and other businesses.

Where Quality Assured Awards are offered, your organisation will have first achieved status as an IMI Awards approved assessment centre.

Organisations that already hold IMI Awards approved centre status can submit programmes they wish to be approved as Quality Assured Awards. Organisations that are not IMI Awards approved centres will be subject to a straightforward, yet rigorous centre approval process.

QAA programme requirements:

• Assessments must take place either within or at the end of each programme
• The assessment of candidates must be based on objective criteria (e.g. learning outcomes)
• Validation, including feedback, must include any actions to be addressed by the candidate
• Any changes to programmes must be submitted to IMI Awards for review and approval.

Claiming certificates

IMI Awards approved centres can claim QAA certificates on behalf of successful candidates direct from IMI Awards. The design of the certificate is based upon set templates, which will have been agreed at the time of programme approval. Centres and clients may have their own logo printed on each certificate.

Costs

£600 – centre approval fee (non-refundable)
£400 – annual approval fee
£100 – per programme approval fee
£15-£25 per certificate (depending upon numbers claimed)
