The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on 25th May 2018. This affects any organisation that processes or stores personal data.
We have produced a Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) for all our IMI Approved Centres. This details our shared roles & responsibilities as data controllers, and the agreement has been designed to provide clear information on how we will collect, handle and share data between our respective businesses moving forward. You can find this DSA document in the right hand panel. Please download, complete all highlighted areas, sign and return to GDPR@theimi.org.uk.
Please note that our Data Sharing Agreement asks for your ICO number; the DPA requires every data controller (e.g. organisation, sole trader) who is processing personal data to register with the ICO (unless exempt). This can be done on their website here.
If you feel that you are not a data controller, feel this agreement is not appropriate for any reason or you believe a signed DSA has already been returned to us, please drop us an email at GDPR@theimi.org.uk. You can also email us any questions you have regarding the IMI’s position on GDPR compliance and cyber security at this address.
In the event that a signed Data Sharing Agreement is not returned to the IMI by 28 September 2018, it will be deemed that you accept the terms outlined within it.
